The introduction of ecological standard Euro-6 is proposed to postpone.
New 2017, under current law, should be the last year of validity of the norms of Euro-5 in Ukraine. Further, from 1 January 2018, the force must engage the norms of Euro-6. They apply to cars that are imported, produced and recorded for the first time in Ukraine. The law "About some questions of import on customs territory of Ukraine and registration of vehicles", which provides a timetable for the introduction of eco-standards Euro was created in 2005, and in 2012 it made some changes.
The introduction of Euro 6 in practice means that to drive the car can be no older than 2015, when the Euro 6 entered into force in the European Union. And for everyone who planned to buy and clear cars from the EU, it will result in a substantial increase in the budget for the purchase or refusal thereof in General, because of the high cost of a 2-3 year old used cars.
Bill No. 5624 "On amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About some questions of import on customs territory of Ukraine and registration of vehicles" on the strengthening of adaptive capacity and phased introduction of international environmental standards for vehicles", presented by MP Robert Gorvat, can change date of introduction of the standard Euro-6. If this document becomes law, the requirements of Euro 6 will come into effect from 1 January 2020, that is, their run will be postponed for 2 years. Currently, the bill has the status registered in the Verkhovna Rada and is pending in the relevant committees.
